John is a founding member at Goncalves & Medina Law Group, LLC. His practice focuses on Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Family and Matrimonial Law, and Criminal Defense.
A graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, John has interned at the Center for Social Justice (Criminal Justice Clinic), where he represented indigent clients in criminal matters. John was also selected as a participant of the Crisis Negotiation Seminar, which included exclusive instruction from globally renowned negotiators from the FBI and the Vatican. Additionally, John was a member of Seton Hall Law School's inaugural Leadership Fellows Program, where participants were selected, by a team of Law Professors, based on their academic merits and leadership potential.
Prior to founding the Law Group, John acted as a Regulatory Policy and Procedure Leader for a Fortune 500 company where he was responsible for the drafting, implementation, and oversight of internal policies in order to ensure compliance with Federal and State Regulations.
John is Licensed to Practice in the State of New Jersey. He is fluent in Portuguese.

Christopher Medina

Chris is a founding member at Goncalves & Medina Law Group, LLC. His practice focuses on Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Criminal Defense, and Family and Matrimonial Law.
A graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, Chris has interned for the school in its Law Investor Advocacy Project, where he provided assistance to retail investor clientele during FINRA arbitration. He also participated in the first-ever FINRA Simplified Arbitration Special Proceedings. Chris was also selected for the Law Conflict Management Program, where he regularly worked with court-appointed mediators and opposing counsel from the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in order to seek fair alternative dispute resolutions to federal litigation matters. Additionally, Chris was also a member of Seton Hall Law School's inaugural Leadership Fellows Program, where participants were selected by a team of Law Professors based on their academic merits and leadership potential.
Prior to founding the Law Group, Chris served as a Police Officer in the Union County area, ultimately being promoted to Detective.
Chris is Licensed to Practice in the State of New Jersey.
